Architects from across Ireland flocked to Dublin on Friday and Saturday last to attend one of the biggest events in their annual calendar, the RIAI Annual Conference and Architecture Expo (ArchiExpo), which was held in the RDS. For many Irish Architects, it’s an event which allows them to engage with all areas of the Architectural industry, learn, share, do business. The conference hall was packed by hundreds of conference delegates over the two days, and in between the series of talks, discussions and presentations, the crowd poured into the exhibition area to meet with the range of companies in attendance.
With over 500 delegates in the exhibition hall, we were kept busy on the Quinn Building Products stand, with a stream of traffic speaking to our Technical Team about our products and services. It’s the time of year when Architects are focused on CPD activity of course, so our upcoming schedule of CPD seminars taking place throughout Ireland between now and the end of November proved very popular, with numerous bookings and enquiries. For those who can’t attend one of the scheduled CPD seminars, we were able to offer an in-house CPD seminar to be delivered in their own practice.
Speaking of Quinn Building Products’ attendance at the show, Jason Martin, Product Development and Specification Manager commented,
“This year’s RIAI conference theme was around “challenge, change, collaboration”, which was certainly fitting given the upcoming nZEB regulations Architects are facing.
We value the importance of collaboration in the industry to help Architects and other industry professionals meet the challenges of adapting to these new regulations, and we’re focusing on delivering this through our nationwide CPD seminars, and through our sponsorship of the upcoming nZEB World Forum. We’re partnering with some of Ireland’s leading experts in low energy building design to help ease the path to nZEB, bring globally recognised speakers to the event, which we found a great deal of interest in at ArchiExpo.”
