Quinn Industrial Holdings has achieved the status of Engineers Ireland CPD Accredited Employer. This accreditation from the Institute of Engineers of Ireland is recognition of the quality of, and commitment to, Quinn’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) systems and practices for engineering and technical staff.
The rigorous assessment process to achieve the accreditation included a thorough audit which was conducted by three panel members from the Institute of Engineers of Ireland. The audit assessed the company’s training, knowledge sharing and professional development pathways which are in place for employees and included interviews with a number of the company’s engineering staff.
The internationally acclaimed Engineers Ireland’s CPD Accredited Employer standard was established to create and sustain a leading economy in Ireland and to provide a framework of good CPD practices to be put in place by employers of engineers. It is the national benchmark for organisations across all sectors of engineering and is used to advance performance, bring about measurable business benefits and, in the process, create and sustain thousands of jobs.
Speaking of the company’s achievement, Caroline McCaffery, Quinn’s Human Resources Manager, commented,
“This is a fantastic achievement for us and it reinforces our commitment to staff development. Continuing Professional Development ensures our employees are given the opportunity to improve their knowledge and skills, which assists them in advancing their careers.
For us, it ensures we have a more motivated and effective workforce and our engineering and technical teams keep pace with current trends and standards.
We pride ourselves on the calibre of our people and our commitment to retaining and nurturing the talent of our workforce, and we’re delighted to achieve this industry leading standard.”
Dee Kehoe, CPD Director of Engineers Ireland, congratulated Quinn Industrial Holdings on achieving the accredited standard, saying,
“I wish to congratulate Quinn Industrial Holdings for their dedication to professional development and achieving CPD Accredited Employer status. Investment in professional development is essential for engineering organisations to gain a competitive edge and achieve results on a local and international level. It is clear that the senior management team has a strong commitment to developing its people and will continue to benefit from the strategic approach facilitated by the CPD Accredited Employer standard.”
