The full range of Quinn Lite blocks are suitable for use as rising foundation walls below damp proof course, subject to the following conditions as defined in BBA cert no. 11/4869.
Quinn Therm QF is suitable for new build and refurbishments projects in both domestic and commercial build. With specific properties that optimise the performance of underfloor heating.
For suspended timber floors in particular, Quinn Therm QF reduces heat loss by an air infiltration method, making it the ideal solution for upgrading the thermal performance of existing floors.
The blocks are resistant to freeze/thaw conditions likely to occur below the dpc and are therefore suitable for use in situations up to and including MX3.2 as defined in BS EN 1996-2: 2006, Annex A, Table A1 and its UK National Annex or A3 as defined in BS 5628-3 : 2005, Table 12, (ie where there is a high risk of saturation with freezing).
The blocks are suitable for use in classes DS1, DS2 and DS3 of soil or groundwater as defined in BRE Special Digest 1 : 2005 Concrete in aggressive ground, Part C Assessing the aggressive chemical environment.
In unusual soil and/or groundwater conditions, eg soils contaminated by industrial waste or highly acidic soils, expert advice should be obtained.
